The 3rd annual Innogive Conference ended with attendance up nearly 100% from prior year. It became clear through the various sessions and panels that nonprofits realize they need to figure out how to integrate and make mobile successful as the tide for mobile continues to swell. Success did not start with fundraising – it ended with it. The path to successful mobile fundraising starts with successful donor cultivation of mobile engagement, resulting in successful fundraising campaigns. Nonprofits need a strategy to Communicate, Evaluate, and Fundraise the way to mobile success. There are many more donation types than the $5 and $10 donations we saw with the 2010 Haiti earthquake disaster. Attendees came to Innogive to learn about these options, and listen to nonprofit and technology experts on the lessons learned. They learned about becoming strategic with mobile and learned ways to integrate mobile for more effective donor engagement. Innogive brought together the best experts to address practical mobile engagement tactics, balanced with a view of where mobile is headed. As usual there were a great mix of respected keynote speakers, riveting innovators, and informative panels and break-out classes, all capped by a great industry mixer at the end of a long fruitful day.

CONNECTIONS MADE

The 2012 Innogive conference lets peers connect with peers with a shared curiosity and interest in this new channel. New friends were made and others reconnected from intriguing mobile, web, social and innovative giving technology companies – all came together to understand how to forward their cause in a changing and increasingly mobile world.
